The Matterhorn in Switzerland is best viewed from the mountain town of Zermatt. Straddling the frontier between Switzerland and Italy, it’s one of the most famous mountains in Europe and the world. In Zermatt you can have amazing views of the Matterhorn from Sunnegga Mountain. I came up here on the first gondolas and had the place to myself with the company of marmots running in and out of their burrows and wrestling in the quiet mountains before the area got busy with tourists. I came across this bridge near the lake I was grabbing shots of the Matterhorn and thought it would add to my landscape shot quite nicely.
